I had mixed feelings about my stay. On the positive side, the hotel's location is fantastic, allowing easy access to major attractions like the Colosseum. However, the overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired, with some rooms showing signs of severe wear and tear, and services that fell short of expectations.

Rooms

The rooms varied significantly in quality. My family terrace room on the top floor was spacious and boasted a massive outdoor terrace, yet I was disappointed that the fridge didn’t work and food and alcohol weren't permitted in the rooms.
Service
6.0
The staff members were generally sympathetic and willing to help, but their level of English was quite limited, which made communication challenging at times.
Location

The hotel's location was excellent, making it easy to walk to many attractions or catch the train without needing a taxi, which I really appreciated.
Dining

Breakfast in the courtyard was enjoyable, and although the variety could use some improvement, I did appreciate some offered hot dishes. Just wish the scrambled eggs had tasted better.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were lacking; my room suffered from corrosion and an ineffective air conditioning system, making for an uncomfortable stay despite the charming historical design of the building.

I had a really nice stay at Domus Romana Hotel, with its charming historical vibe and super friendly staff who helped me navigate the city. Although my room was on the smaller side, it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. One downside was the breakfast; I went down later one morning and found the food was running low, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, I'd say it's a great place to stay if you're looking for a cozy spot in the heart of Rome.

I had a small but clean room that provided the comfort I needed. However, the air conditioning wasn't great, which made it stuffy at night. The bigger suite looked roomy, so I'd suggest asking for one of those.

The reception staff were incredibly helpful, always ready to arrange taxis or suggest restaurants. They definitely made my stay easier, especially when I needed help with local transportation.

Breakfast was decent but had its ups and downs. I found the scrambled eggs kind of off, and I went down late one morning to find limited options available. Though, when everything was stocked, it was a good start to the day.

The hotel has a nice courtyard where I could relax, but I missed having coffee-making facilities in my room. The bar had drinks at reasonable prices, which was a nice touch after a long day of exploring.

My stay at Domus Romana Hotel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, allowing quick access to landmarks like the Colosseum and the Spanish Steps. However, I found the accommodation lacking; the room was a bit dated and not as clean as I hoped, with issues like broken fixtures. On a brighter note, the breakfast options were decent, and the staff were genuinely nice and helpful.

While the facilities offered the basics, they felt somewhat limited. There wasn't a late bar or a full restaurant on-site, which sometimes required exploring alternatives. Additionally, the small dining area could be quite crowded at peak times. 🏨

My stay at Domus Romana Hotel was enjoyable, with a great location and spacious room. Unfortunately, I experienced power outages that affected my comfort, particularly the lack of hot water for a day. Despite this, I appreciated the friendly staff and the historical charm of the building.
